ROB HOARE has taken Robert and William Day's superb collection of Bournemouth photos from the 19th Century and - using the wonders of modern technology - presents it here - IN COLOUR! -
In some cases Rob has been able to 'clean up' the original images as well - and even repair damaged sections in some photos.

Then just click on any of those images to see a full size copy of the orginal photo - in colour...

Note that the cleaning and repair functions of the image processing software may not always replace detail exactly. If you are looking for precise historical details on a specific image - perhaps for research purposes - you would probably be best advised to continue to refer to the black and white images of the original Day Collection.
You are welcome to download and use the images for the purposes of education, recreation or research, but in NO circumstances should the information obtained directly from copies of these documents be used for commercial gain in any way.
